Haircut and new workwear

By Fröken Rhodin · August 11, 2009 · 0 Comments · 9 Views
Somehow I need to fit in a haircut and buy some new workwear before the launching of the new Fashionway. I went for a consultation this morning at Toni&Guy, the only hairstylists who are aloud to touch my hair. Need to buy some clothes online as well as I don't have the time to get into the war with fashionistas downtown.

Tea at three

I have a little obsession over english vintage chinaware. I have this guy in stockholm who is holding a mint- coloured 12-cup tableware that is over a hundred years old in perfect condition. I hope to be able to purchase it in August. I'm so obsessed about it that I actually made my patterns for my CAD-course of french macarones and english teacups! will post an example later.

The problem when you make new collections in your head everyday is to find time to sketch them down and the occasion to launch them. Everyday for me is the time to create. It can be described as the vampires thirst for blood. I just HAVE TO transform my thoughts into clothes and jewelry. sometimes you have to stop blind with what your doing just to sketch something down on the back of a reciept. the trick is to alway collect all these notes, pictures you take with your cellphone, sketches and ideas in an "inbox" just put them in a nice box and once every other week, go through it and put it all, together with important notes in a big inspiration-lookbook. I like to have a black surface to work against so I buy photoalbums with black pages and use white and silver markers to write notes in them. I use both tape, glue and stampler to insert articles, pictures and sketches. In fashion you always have a "Moodboard", a wall where you put up inspiration and "the mood" for the next collection or brand image in general. It's also effective to have a large moodbook that you can browse through for inspiration and memories from previous seasons. That way you can also put it away from curious eyez when needed... As a photographer, artist, designer, webdesigner and other creative work a lookbook is great! It lets you keep you style intact, which is key to making it big, finding a style of your own for people to recognize.

Him/Her: Cocktailparties

By Fröken Rhodin · June 18, 2009 · 0 Comments · 6 Views
Her: Try to use sophisticated floral prints in bright och dark colours. pastels will make you look too soft. Feminine and strong. And don't wear to short dresses.
Standing out in the crowd when going to PR or networking-events is key. It's no use to go if no one remembers you.
Him: Try to use more color than you dare to. A coloured blazer with contrast shirt or pants does the trick. Now is not the time to be dull and ordinary.

Her: Three hat styles for a busy summer

By Fröken Rhodin · June 11, 2009 · 0 Comments · 9 Views
Hats are gorgeous and simple accessories that make you stand out as a little bit bolder than everyone else. But remember, many people still consider it rude not to take off your hat or cap when going indoors!

Him: Ocean Racing

My father really dislikes ocean racers. He thinks they missunderstood the whole point of sailing. And I can agree, mostly because sailing is my meditation and energy-booster. But that doesn't mean they don't dress to kill most of the time. Put in a little boatromance and you have the perfect combination for sailing in style.
